Bedtime Story: an animated Aesop Children’s Book for helping children to sleep app good for
Awesome bedtime book, simple enough for my little one to use before bed, and she asks to read it every night. The animation is beautiful, a real classic book.
Beautiful and relaxing, my 6 year old daughter enjoys this at bedtime.
We read this app tonight putting the kids to bed and it was pretty clever because all the animals go to sleep then on the last page it tells all the kids to go to sleep. So it was a fun book to read and then lights out. Good job by Aesop another great app that we enjoy.
This app is a storybook. It has different animals on each page and the child taps them to send them running off to sleep. The animation follows the animal running into their bed while a poem is narrated. The animations and the animals are 5 stars. The narrator is a great voice 5 stars. And the poetry bedtime story is also real good 5 stars. My boys share a bedroom so it is hard getting everyone to sleep and this app helps turn storytime into bedtime.
The narration, story and book overall is very nice. The controls are not intuitive. No easy way to turn a page by yourself if the pace is too slow. I had to read the app description on how to use pinch to get to the table of contents. If you want to just set this book to play and hand your phone over to your kid then this is for you. If your child wants to be able to turn the page themselves, this could frustrate them.
My grandkids watch this over and over. The animation is great. I wish I could find more kids books with this high quality.
Some bad moments
While the artwork is very nice, and the animation is decent; despite what the description says the is nothing to click on and no interaction with the interface. I think they missed the point/power of the multitouch and gesture possibilities here.
Furthermore, my daughter is still young and learning to read *slowly. Even with the settings option to turn the narrator off, the pages still push forward automatically not allowing her enough time to figure out the words. We have plenty of cartoon networks, so Im more interested in this serving as a book she can interact with, and not just another cartoon to watch.
Im glad this was free, because I will be staying away from the other books they have to offer until some major updates are made to improve this application.
Waste of money as didnt,t if d any story in this app not worth for the money
The app was great before the update, now it is hard to use and very glitchy. My son doesnt even like to use it anymore. I would give it a 5 when they fix it. As of now, though, do not get it.
Given that the title had a reference to the Aesops I had expected that they will be animating entire Aesop short stories and then at the end the animal goes to sleep. But all this app does is has soothing music and the "Aesop" animals go to sleep. Thats all!!!! There is no Aesop story. Very misleading and extremely disappointed. Waste of money. Do not buy!
This is not really a story, it just says goodnight to some and animals. Even if or when the narration works, it is not worth paying for.
I have free apps that offer 10x what this one offers & I paid for it! Its a nice little bedtime story, if you can even call it a story?? One "story" about some animals going to sleep... thats it. Dont buy this app!!!
